Rock, Mulch, Topsoil, and Fill can all be calculated according to the following formula.

Formula:

(Sq. Ft. of Area) x (Depth Multiplier) / (27 Cubic Ft. per Cubic Yard) =

# of Cubic Yards

Example:

100' x 10' Area (1000 sq. ft.) @ 3 Inches Deep (.25 multiplier) / 27 Cu. Ft. per Yard

1000 Sq. Ft. x .25 / 27 = 9.25 Cubic Yards

For New Mulch Applications 4'' of Mulch Is Suggested

For Yearly ReMulching or Topdressing 2'' Is Suggested
